Smart-x Sheet

SMART -X® lightweight, fully moisture, UV and weather resistant solid polystyrene (HIPS) surface, distinctive and unique lightweight foam board for advanced applications in the field of visual communication. SMART -X® is the world’s lightest wood-equivalent plastic material. In addition, for flat lamination and printing applications, with its ability to print in large format up to 2 meters wide, it offers excellent ease of use in promotional signage, Event – Marketing, POS / PoP and window decoration.
SMART -X® sheet provides temperature resistance from +70 ° C -10 ° C. SMART-X ® – is a recyclable material. SMART-X ® is a mono-composite material made of 100% polystyrene with adhesive between core and cover layers.
Ecological – With a homogeneous compound, SMART-X ® is 100% recyclable.
Approximately 95% of SMART-X ® production production waste is collected and recycled on site.

Processing; SMART-X core processing features cover all assembly and printing techniques used for a variety of applications such as signage, marketing and product promotion. The lightweight full plastic sheet material offers useful and processing possibilities for up to 2 years (may vary depending on the natural conditions).

With its glossy, white and homogeneous surface, UV-stabilized polystyrene provides an ideal printing opportunity and ensures very good ink adhesion. Smart-X ® is completely moisture resistant and can be used up to + 70 ° C. When carrying the unprinted sheet, wear cotton gloves and if it is necessary to clean, wipe the sheet dry after cleaning with cleaning agents. SMART-X surfaces are suitable for foil cut text films and vinyl graphics application. The SMART-X ® can be cut with a standard horizontal and vertical panel saw. It can be used by opening joints with sufficient tooth geometry and sharp blades. SMART-X ® can also be cut with jig saws, scroll saws, profile shafts, surface milling cutters, waterjet cutting machines or CNC machining centers.
The cut edges can be glued with commercially available adhesives for polystyrene (glue-making such as UHU-Plast). In addition, SMART-X ® high performance adhesive tapes (VHB ™ products) can be bonded together in completely different materials.

For perfect results and clean edges we recommend a system configuration with a 200 Watt eurolaser cutting system.
